Welcome to the Kingdom Development Organ (KIDO)

The Kingdom Development Organ (KIDO) is the official development and empowerment arm of the Church of Uganda. It was established to harness the church’s vast membership — over 18 million Ugandans across 39 dioceses into a unified movement for financial strength, social transformation, and holistic well-being.

Why KIDO

For decades, the Church of Uganda has been a pillar of faith, education, and health in the nation. Yet, the challenge of limited resources has often slowed progress. KIDO was born out of the vision to unlock the financial potential of the church community by mobilizing contributions, creating sustainable investment vehicles, and channeling resources into schools, hospitals, and parish development.

Mission

To unlock the financial potential of the Church of Uganda by mobilizing contributions, creating investment vehicles, and supporting health, education, and financial services using Biblical Kingdom Economic Principles.

Vision

A financially strong church that sustainably meets its spiritual and development goals while offering high-quality, holistic services to its members.

Objectives

Education Development Revamp education infrastructure and services in the Church of Uganda.
Mission & Evangelism Support and advance mission and evangelism across the Province.
Investment Growth Build an investment vehicle for growing mobilized funds.
Health Services Improve the quality and access of health services.

Biblical Foundation: KIDO is guided by Kingdom Economic Principles rooted in scripture. Inspired by Deuteronomy 15:4–5: “There shall be no poor among you”, KIDO seeks to ensure that every member of the Church of Uganda has access to financial empowerment, quality education, and healthcare.

It is with great joy and deep conviction that I welcome you to the Kingdom Development Organ (KIDO) a vision born out of faith, unity, and the desire to transform lives across Uganda.

The Church of Uganda has always stood as a pillar of hope, education, and healing. Today, through KIDO, we are harnessing our collective strength to build a financially empowered church that not only meets spiritual needs but also uplifts communities through education, health, and sustainable development.

Our mission is simple yet profound: to ensure that no member of our church family is left behind. By mobilizing contributions, creating investment opportunities, and offering affordable health insurance, we are laying the foundation for a future where every Ugandan can thrive.

I call upon all dioceses, parishes, institutions, and individuals to embrace this movement. Together, we can achieve the extraordinary modern schools, improved hospitals, empowered clergy, and prosperous families.

As Scripture reminds us in Deuteronomy 15:4–5: “There shall be no poor among you.” This is not just a promise, but a responsibility we carry as a community of faith.
